Denny Gulotta
Rhythm Guitar &
Lead Vocals
 |
In 1963 Denny heard
The Beatles on the radio and decided to learn how to play the guitar. He took lessons for a year and a half but got tired of playing “Mary had a little lamb!” Rock and roll was his goal. Denny, attempting to play lead guitar, soon found that he could pick his nose better. With this discovery, he decided to focus on rhythm guitar and began doing the band thing with Terry Randall (Vintage Vinyl's very own talented bassist). They played in such note worthy bands like: Trust and
Beaver Valley Trio. Denny continued playing until the age of 21 or 22 (who can remember because of all of the mind altering soft drinks in the sixties!) In 1973, when Denny began working at Sundstrand, he traded his guitar for his tools. After 25 years out of the music scene, he felt the burning desire to play again. Wendy, his wife, growing tired of hearing him whine about it said “just do it or shut the hell up!" Denny then became a member of JUS CUZ and after 30 years at Sundstrand retired from his job. Denny says "Now I am a gray haired, gas passing, Geritol swilling member of Vintage Vinyl. I finally got in with the right group of
fellows.” |

Durwood Feldman
Guitars and Vocals
|
Durwood has played with many Rockford-area bands
including Tools of Romance, Rockfish, New
Jersey Beach Whistles, The Back of Beyond, and
Band of the Lost. While living in California his band
Scarlet Theory won a Bay Area Music Award© for ‘Best New Artist’.
With Durwood in the band, Rockford’s own
Rockfish garnered a RAMI© Award. He has recorded several CDs,
written dozens of original songs, owns an extensive guitar and amplifier
collection, plays several instruments, and is a disc golf fanatic!
Generations of inbreeding have left Durwood nearly identical in every
way to one Dave Vogeler of Rockford, Illinois, and although you’ll never
see them together in the same place, rumor has it they’re the same
person! You almost never see Durwood without a piece of unbuttered
toast, and he’s always slightly bulbous while playing hot guitar licks
with Vintage Vinyl!!! |

Terry Randall
Bass Guitar &
Backup Vocals

|
As any other kid growing up in the sixties and watching
The Beatles on TV, Terry wanted to be a rock star. After a few trombone
lessons he decided to give up music until high school. Since Denny
Gulotta and every other kid in the neighborhood played guitar or drums,
Terry was told to either play bass or go home! He played in several
bands in high school; after high school Terry played with Trust
and Beaver Valley Trio.
After giving up music for 25 years to concentrate on career and family,
Denny Gulotta invited him to jam in a garage band that became
JUS CUZ. Terry says “now being retired, I can focus on becoming a 50
something resurrected rock star with
Vintage Vinyl!” |
