Terry Racine
was taught to sing in a large church choir on the south side of
Chicago. After high school he became a roadie/ sound man for a
local rock band. One night the singer was sick and Terry took
over so the show could go on. 30+ years and 4 bands later, the
most recent being "Johnny and the Boomers", Terry is still
rockin' as Vintage Vinyl's newest member. 2012 is gonna be a
rockin' good year. Come out and party with us |

Tim Schulz
Guitars and Vocals
|
Tim Schulz started playing
guitar in the early '70s, inspired by musicians like Neil Young
and bands like Traffic and Yes. Playing acoustic through college
helped him develop his technique and harmony vocal chops, and by
the mid '80s he was living in DeKalb Illinois and beginning to
play live with bands like The Mystery Dates, Shatterday, and a
long list of others, playing what was then new and contemporary
music like Tommy Tutone, Loverboy, Uriah Heep, and the Cure. In
the mid 90s he began showing his face around Rockford and by
early '99 had begun a 10 year hitch with Prime Time and soon
after a three year part time gig with fusion/jazz/jam band
Havana Honey. Over the last two years he's been playing in the
western subrbs of Chicago and in Rockford. His latest band
before VV was Sweet Lucy. Tim's a creative and fiery lead
guitarist who can fingerpick a ballad or light up a Jimi Hendrix
tune. Come out and see him bring it.

As any other kid growing up in the sixties and watching
The Beatles on TV, Terry wanted to be a rock star. After a few trombone
lessons he decided to give up music until high school. Since every kid in the neighborhood played guitar or drums,
Terry was told to either play bass or go home! He played in several
bands during his high school years; after high school Terry played with
the bands Trust
and Beaver Valley Trio. Terry says “now being retired, I can focus on becoming a 50
something resurrected rock star with
Vintage Vinyl!” |

Curt, born and raised in Rockford, has played music in
the area for 30 plus years. In the 70’s Curt played in a rock band
called Cheater; in
the 80’s he was part of a power pop trio that went by the name L7.
His last and longest venue was playing 11 years with Rockford’s
Missing Links. After a brief hiatus, Curt’s talent and return to the
music scene has kicked up
Vintage Vinyl’s classic rock sound. |
